Price Guide
There are many variables to consider when setting prices for customized 3D sculpted cakes, for instance, the design and complexity to a varying degree for each cake project as well as the number of servings.
A smaller cake with many sculpted figurines definitely requires longer time and labour which will be priced higher than a large cake off the shelves with just a 2D design.
Please budget your order according to the number to serve when ordering customized sculpted fondant cakes. Bear in mind – the smaller the serving size, the more expensive per head. The logic behind – the effort spent sculpting a small or big cake could be similar.
Paying a cake designer $20-$30 for 6 pieces of 3D sculpted cupcakes spending 8 hours continuously a day to manufacture for a small cake order is not justifiable, in comparison to an employee working in an office for 8 hours getting paid $100-$200 per day.
Moreover, cake material manufacturing costs and design fee for concept cakes are not even included yet. Price ranges $100-$200 are meagre amount of money for cake designers to breakeven their cake project for each customer.
Budget Guide for headcount:
5 to 10 people - $20 ++ per serving
15 to 25 people - $10 ++ per serving
30 to 40 oeople - $8 ++ per serving
50 to 60 people - $ 7 ++ per serving
In customized 3D sculpted fondant cakes and cupcakes, different designs result in different weights.
A-20-portion-cake for one design can weigh from 2kg to 6kg in the end depending on the design.
Do not use off-the-shelf cakes and cupcakes from cake shops to compare with the 3D sculpted fondant cakes and cupcakes that a cake designer have produced.
These cake shops make standardized cakes. Cake designers don’t make standard cakes – each cake project will vary in weight with different design.
Thus, it is difficult to charge by weight but instead the degree of complexity in each cake project design.
General Price Guide for Each Cupcake as
Per Market Rate:
1) Standard Size Cupcake with a Buttercream Swirl, the market rate charges is $4 per cupcake.
2) Cupcake with a Buttercream Swirl and a Small Fondant Topper, price range from $5 to $8
3) Fondant covered cupcakes / cupcakes with buttercream swirls with 2D designs cost between $8 to $12.
4) Fondant covered cupcakes with 3D designs cost $10 and above.
* 3D sculpted cakes such as Cars, Shoes, Planes, Cartoon Characters, according to market rate, is from $300 onwards.
MINIMUM ORDER
Delivery service is only availble with minimum order amount above $200. Any order falls below $200, customer will have to self-collect at allocated MRT station or cake designer’s premise.

HOLIDAY SURCHARGES / URGENT ORDERS
Urgent Orders less than 1 week for small order or 2 weeks for big orders, Orders on Christmas eve, Christmas and 2 days after, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and 2 days after, Chinese New Year's Eve, Chinese New Year's Day and 3 days after will all carry an additional 10% surcharge.
